Hans Inge Fagervik has marked his 50 years as a "record artist" by releasing a new album this year, "Hjerte i nord". It will be his 20th CD, for those who remember that format. He has faithfully toured this country and 25 other countries in all these years. His "Farewell Marita" is a song that many remember, and which became important to many drug addicts who sought help after hearing the song. The Marita foundation took its name from that song. "La mæ gi dæ ei hand" and "Der kjællia bor" are songs that are often heard on the radio.
Many years ago he started his Christmas tour, and covered piece by piece from Kirkenes to Halden, but often in places that other artists don't travel. This year he does a few concerts, and one of them in Ulefoss.
With him on the trip he has Rasmus Solem, Trygve Hellesen and Merete Haslund. Rasmus is a fantastic pianist, producer and singer from Arendal. Trygve Hellesen, plays saxophone, flutes and guitar, and colors Hans Inge's songs in a beautiful way. The two have traveled with Hans Inge for many years. This year he has brought Merete, his wife, who has also toured and sung with many other artists.
The repertoire is mostly his own Christmas carols, as well as some of the traditional ones.
